FAVON is expanding its existing Kilo Lab facilities in Budapest to further strengthen our small- and pilot-scale manufacturing capabilities. Scheduled to be fully operational in Q3 2026, the new multi-purpose, precision-controlled unit will complement our current laboratory infrastructure — bridging advanced R&D and pilot manufacturing under a unified quality framework.

The expansion will enhance our capacity for route development, pilot campaigns, and technology transfer preparation, managed entirely under our proprietary FoQuS™ – FAVON Quality System.

Aligned with ISO 9001 and designed for seamless expansion toward ISO 14001 environmental certification and future GMP readiness, FoQuS™ ensures that every scale-up maintains scientific integrity and compliance.

From gram-scale feasibility to multi-kilogram validation batches, the extended Kilo Lab will accelerate process maturity, improve analytical traceability, and reduce scale-up risk.

Regular Production and Clinical Supply

Beyond development, FAVON regularly produces key starting materials and intermediates for pre-clinical and clinical-trial manufacturing programs. Our biotech and pharmaceutical partners rely on these materials for reproducible quality and documented compliance — ensuring that each lot meets the strict analytical, regulatory, and traceability requirements for early-phase drug development.

Project Types & Typical Use Cases

  • Route validation and pilot campaigns for new intermediates
  • Process optimization to improve yield, impurity profile, or throughput
  • Scale-up verification prior to industrial manufacturing
  • Custom multi-kilogram production for R&D and early clinical studies
  • Feasibility evaluation for continuous or telescoped processes

An Expansion Built for Flexibility and Control

Our ongoing expansion adds a modular, reconfigurable pilot unit capable of handling diverse chemistries and process types. It integrates seamlessly with FAVON’s existing kilo-scale operations and follows the same standards of controlled material flow, data integrity, and operational safety defined by FoQuS™.

Planned Capabilities:

  • Batch capacity: 1 – 100 kg
  • Equipment set: glass-lined and stainless reactors (30–250 L), pilot-scale distillation columns, filtration suites, closed transfer systems, and jacketed vessels with automated control
  • Safety & containment: segregated raw-material and product areas, controlled ventilation, explosion-proof assets where required
  • Analytical support: on-site GC, HPLC, IR, Karl Fischer, and in-process monitoring integrated into FoQuS™ reporting templates
  • Utilities & services: inert-gas distribution, vacuum and temperature-controlled utilities, solvent handling and recovery infrastructure
